Frequently asked questions about the toolkit
Yes, all 60 tools are completely free with no registration required, including the AI chat page and generative tools.
All non-AI tools run entirely in your browser — nothing is sent to any server. Your favorites, history and theme choices are stored locally.
The AI chat page and the 4 generative tools (regex / code / SQL / Cron) send your prompt to the configured model API to produce a response. Avoid pasting sensitive or private data. Non-AI tools never transmit anything.
After the initial load, most tools work offline since they run client-side. With the PWA installed, the whole site is available offline. AI tools and live network tools (WebSocket / Ping / API Tester / Currency rates) naturally require a connection.
Modern browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge (latest versions). Some tools require WebCrypto support.
Click the theme button in the header to toggle light/dark mode, and pick from four palettes: Jade / Ocean / Dusk / Mono. Your choice is saved locally.
Press Ctrl/Cmd + K anywhere to open a fuzzy-search palette — jump to any tool, switch language/theme, open AI chat and more, all from the keyboard.
Open any tool page and click the star icon in its header. Favorited tools appear at the top of the homepage for quick access.
Yes. Use your browser's "Install / Add to Home Screen" option to install WZ.FYI as a PWA on desktop or mobile, with offline support.
From Frankfurter.app, which references European Central Bank rates and updates on business days. An offline fallback serves the last known rates when the API is unreachable.
MD5 is cryptographically broken and should not be used for security. Our Hash tool offers MD5 only for legacy checksum verification, alongside SHA-1/256/384/512 via the WebCrypto API.
